"A writer's life and work are not a gift to mankind; they are its necessity."
Tony Morrison
I am Anissa Emenike, an English student at Cambridge University.
VerseMosaic is an evolving archive of critical essays that bridge academic research with public discourse. I am particularly interested in the intersections of literature, ecological justice and postcolonial studies. I find the link between environmental degradation and social inequality to be increasingly pertinent in both literature and the current global landscape. For citation, these essays are also available on my ResearchGate.
In addition to writing essays, I am currently navigating the world of publication for my literary novella. It engages with themes of nostalgia and geo-cultural identity. I look forward to unveiling this story once it finds its place in the literary world.
Why VerseMosaic?
The Name reflects both form and method. Verse gestures to literary language, rythmn and critique. Mosaic points to something fragmented and assembled with intentional curation.
